As anyone who has seen her live knows, in addition to her original material, Lissa performs a variety of songs written by other artists she admires. One of her concert staples is a cover of Steve Earle’s composition about guerrilla pot farming, “Copperhead Road.”
“‘Copperhead Road’ is one of my favorite songs to play live,” she says. “It is so much fun ‘cause I can just let go with this tune.
“Some people call it the Colorado state song,” she adds with a laugh.
As with the other videos she has released over the past few months, the “Copperhead Road” vid was directed by Bill Filipiak and shot by Stephen Shiveley. According to Lissa, the landscape footage in the video was “filmed with a GoPro camera on the top of my Suburban as we are headed up to Mike and Dana Moore's house last summer to shoot footage for the 'Colorado Colors' music video.” The performance footage was filmed on the deck at Freshwater Saloon in Guffey, Colo.
