NASHVILLE FILMMAKER IN COLORADO FOR HANNER MUSIC VIDEO, EPK SHOOTS
Nashville filmmaker Bill Filipiak and his associate Steven Shiveley traveled to Colorado recently to work with Guffey-based singer-songwriter Lissa Hanner.
Director Filipiak and director of photography Shiveley shot footage on Hanner’s property near Guffey, as well as other locations in the area, to be used in three music videos from Hanner’s most recent release My Colorado
, as well as an EPK (electronic press kit).
Videos for “Rocky Mountain High” and “Stay” will be released this fall. A video for “Colorado Colors” also is in the works — Filipiak and Shiveley plan to return to the Guffey area in January to shoot winter scenes for it.
“I’m a member of the Folk Alliance and I received an email with one of the videos Bill had done for an Americana artist,” Hanner says of her introduction to Filipiak. “I looked at more of his videos. He likes to work with Americana artists in their own environment.
“We talked a few times and he was willing [to come to Colorado],” she continues. “The location shooting went really well. I can’t wait to share the end result with everyone.”
